چکیده
Based on the survey data of Jiaozhou Bay waters in May, September and October 1993, this paper studies surface horizontal distribution PHC content waters. According to definition, model classification Yang Dongfang homogeneity theory matter proposed by author, calculation results show that Bay, non-homogeneous column was 46.86μg/L, 8.15%. At time, had non-homogeneity; September, 6.53μg/L, homogeneous 48.58%, which a low degree homogeneity; October, 0.40μg/L, 96.61%, high homogeneity. This shows entire there only source marine oil spill transportation, transported 51.00μg/L, relatively high, resulting unevenly distributed water body bay. In its 12.70μg/L, low. way, lowly homogeneous. no bay, highly From May monthly decline rate from 9.57μg/L, 10.08μg/L, increase 10.10%. 6.13μg/L, 48.03%. fully reveals is driving force non-homogeneity area, while ocean tides currents are area. this, author puts forward material content: under action currents, has characteristics homogeneity,

Field evaluations of marine oil spill bioremediation.
Bioremediation is defined as the act of adding or improving the availability of materials (e.g., nutrients, microorganisms, or oxygen) to contaminated environments to cause an acceleration of natural biodegradative processes. The results of field experiments and trials following actual spill incidents have been reviewed to evaluate the feasibility of this approach as a treatment for oil contami...
متن کاملEfficient tools for marine operational forecast and oil spill tracking.
Ocean forecasting and oil spill modelling and tracking are complex activities requiring specialised institutions. In this work we present a lighter solution based on the Operational Ocean Forecast Python Engine (OOFε) and the oil spill model General NOAA Operational Modelling Environment (GNOME). These two are robust relocatable and simple to implement and maintain. Implementations of the opera...

Editor’s Preface the env 3100 Issues in Environmental Science course is the “writing in the discipline” course for the environmental science program. in partial satisfaction of the course requirements, students must write a literature review on a topic of their choice that is both timely and relevant to the environmental science community. the most outstanding literature review is published in ...
متن کاملSequential Optimization Model for Marine Oil Spill Control
This chapter gives credence to the introduction of optimal control theory into oil spill modeling and develops an optimization process that will aid in the effective decisionmaking in marine oil spill management. The purpose of the optimal control theory is to determine the control policy that will optimize (maximize or minimize) a specific per‐ formance criterion, subject to the constraints im...
متن کاملPathological features in marine birds affected by the prestige's oil spill in the north of Spain.
A total of 2,465 seabirds, mainly common murres (Uria aalge), razorbills (Alca torda), and puffins (Fratercula arctica) that beached in the northwestern part of Spain after the "Prestige" oil spill on 19 November 2002 were examined by pathological methods. Birds were divided into three groups: dead birds with the body covered (group 1) or uncovered (group 2) by oil and birds recovered alive but...
